So you think you’ve experienced everything the Kimberley has to offer? Think again!
It's a local secret that the wet season is the best time to experience the East Kimberley. The landscape comes alive after tropical rains wash away the last of the dry and plunging waterfalls spring up out of nowhere.
Has travelling to the Kimberley been on your bucket list for a while but left you feeling a little overwhelmed? We don’t blame you - the Kimberley spans an area over 424,517km² or in other words, is three times the size of England! With so much space and so many things to do and see up here, it’s can be a little daunting to plan a trip without feeling like you’re missing out on something.
There is no shortage of amazing experiences and destinations in the Kimberley. The entire northwest of Australia is a feast for the senses and will leave you not only in awe, but never wanting to leave. What better way to witness this vast and remote part of the country than from the sky? We have put together a few of the most unique ways to experience the Kimberley by helicopter.
Covering nearly 423,000 square kilometres, this ancient region has fewer people per square kilometre than almost any other place on Earth. Despite its remoteness, there are several ways to reach the Kimberley depending on your time and budget. Kununurra and Broome are the two major gateway towns in the Kimberley, and both are must-visits for a true Kimberley experience.
