Itinerary Details
Day 1 - Arrive Kununurra
Arrive into Kununurra late afternoon. A representative from Freshwater Apartments will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your accommodation.
Day 2 - Bungle Bungle Scenic Flight + Lake Argyle Sunset Cruise
This morning you are collected nice and early for your two-hour scenic flight over the Bungle Bungle Range, Lake Argyle, the Argyle Diamond Mine and the Ord River Irrigation Area. You will also fly over the stunning Carr Boyd Ranges, Osmand Ranges, the Ord River and Bow River.
On returning to Kununurra you will be dropped back to your accommodation.
At 12.45pm you will be collected by coach for your transfer to Lake Argyle to board your Sunset Cruise. On the cruise see rock wallabies, crocodiles, wallaroos (euros) and birdlife, plus a catfish feeding frenzy and the amazing spitting archer fish. Take in the untamed landscape of the magnificent Carr Boyd Ranges along the inaccessible North Western shoreline as you cruise through some of Lake Argyle’s 90 islands and inlets. Sit back with a complimentary drink while you watch the Kimberley sun go down on yet another perfect day in paradise.
Tea, coffee and water is provided on the boat as well as sunset drink and nibblies. Take your swimwear and towel to enjoy an afternoon swim.
Your coach will return you to Freshwater Apartments at approximately 7.30pm.

Day 3 - Waterfall Helicopter Adventure
This morning take chasing waterfalls to the next level with this exciting heli-adventure. Enjoy stunning views of Kununurra, the Ord River and surrounding farmland and ranges in the region. The flight path followed on the day of your flight will vary depending on which waterfalls are at their best.
Your afternoon is free to do as you please.
Day 4 - Mystery Road 4WD Waterfalls Tour
Today you will be taken on a 4WD Waterfall Adventure! Not far from Kununurra are some of the most spectacular and accessible waterfalls around.
Drive via Valentine’s Springs and over several creek crossings to have a dip in one of the multi-drop waterfalls at Middle Spring. You’ll then four-wheel-drive over to Black Rock Falls (of ‘Mystery Road’ fame), for some pretty spectacular photos and another cool dip. We’ll then call into Button’s Crossing and Ivanhoe Crossing to check out the raging waters of Lower Ord River in flood.

Day 5 - Depart Kununurra
Your amazing Wet Season visit to Kununurra has come to an end. Freshwater Apartments will transfer you to the airport for your flight.
If you have a late flight, Freshwater Apartments are happy to store your luggage while you explore the town, maybe a visit to Kimberley Fine Diamonds to purchase a rare pink diamond as a souvenir of your trip to the East Kimberley.

Wet season is generally at its peak from January to the beginning April each year. Outside of these months, the waterfalls may not be quite as spectacular but there’s always so much to see and do.
