This morning an El Questro Ranger will collect you from the Airport or Kununurra accommodation for your transfer by 4WD. Enjoy the first 85km of the journey on bitumen roads as they pass through the stunning scenery of the East Kimberley. Stop to capture photos on the majestic Cockburn Range as it appears in front of you on the Gibb River Road. At the turn off to El Questro Station, you commence the 25km trip on the unsealed driveway. Be thrilled by the exciting 4WD track into El Questro Station where you may be lucky enough to experience a 4WD water-crossing at some of the many creeks you encounter on the driveway.
Your Homestead hosts will be eagerly awaiting your arrival with a glass of Champagne and soothing refresher towel in hand.
Enjoy a gourmet lunch with other travellers where you will hear about the incredible excursions on offer as part of your Homestead stay. Your hosts will have organised an afternoon activity for you to join after lunch.
Afternoon tours included in your stay range from a gorge cruise on the beautiful Chamberlain River, exclusive Homestead access to Zebedee Thermal Springs and a trip to a high lookout for panoramic views over the 700,00 acre property.
Return after your outing for sunset drinks prior to a gourmet dinner. Ask your hosts about private Clifftop dining, an experience you won’t want to miss.

Day 2 - Purnululu National Park by Helicopter
Taking off from El Questro Homestead you will view the stunning Chamberlain & Pentecost Rivers that wrap around the station. View vast tracts of cattle station empires, marvel at the tenacity of our early pioneers in settling this rugged land. Take in incredible scenery as you pass over the traditional lands of the Kija and Djaru people and their community at Warmun, where many of our famous Aboriginal artists such as Rover Thomas and Queenie McKenzie lived and worked.
Onwards to Purnululu National Park – Bungle Bungle a World Heritage Listed area, celebrated for the valuable cultural and natural assets it holds including the Bungle Bungle Range, a 350million year old sandstone massif that rises to 578 metres above sea level. The range stands 200 to 300 metres above a woodland and grass-covered plain, with steep cliffs on the western face. Elsewhere, particularly where Piccaninny Creek has formed Piccaninny Gorge, the range is cut by deep gullies and breaks up into complex areas of ridges and domes, with prominent orange and black or grey bands.
Land at the remote Bellburn Airstrip and be greeted by your own private tour guide and transfer to an air-conditioned 4WD vehicle to drive closer to the Bungle Bungle. Enjoy a moderate 3-kilometre guided walk among the famous eroded towers and black and orange banded beehive structures on the Domes Walk. Your guide will then take you into Cathedral Gorge, where towering cliffs open up to form a space with awe-inspiring natural acoustics, to enjoy your tasty picnic lunch in spectacular surroundings. Walk along the bed of Piccaninny Creek, which flows only in the monsoon waterfall season. Fly back to El Questro taking in the vast cattle country and rugged landscapes of the Kimberley.

End your day at Zebedee Springs, an oasis in which to relax and rejuvenate after a hard morning of trekking.
You may enjoy the easier way to experience the magnificence of the vast Kimberley landscape on a 4WD adventure to the top of a steep lookout, Buddy’s Point. While away the afternoon while taking in the serenity of the Chamberlain River with its diverse flora and fauna, resident Rock Wallabies, Johnston Crocodiles and the always cheeky Archer Fish.
