Day 2 - Bungle Bungle & Cathedral Gorge Tour + 30 minute Helicopter Flight
Today your adventure begins with a scenic flight departing Kununurra passing over Lake Argyle, the Ord River Irrigation Area, Carr Boyd and Osmand Ranges, Ord and Bow Rivers and Bungle Bungle Range. Your plane will land at the remote and unsealed Bellburn Airstrip in Purnululu National Park where you will be met by your experienced guide.
From here you will be driven in an air-conditioned 4WD vehicle to the beginning of your guided walk. Your guide will lead you on a moderate 3km walk throughout the famous eroded towers and beehive-shaped domes on the Domes Walk. Head towards Cathedral Gorge, where you can walk alongside towering cliffs which create phenomenal natural acoustics within the Gorge. Refuel with a tasty picnic lunch after a morning of exploring. You will then head out along the rocky creek bed of Piccaninny Creek, which only flows during periods of high rainfall.
On return to Bellburn Airstrip you will join HeliSpirit and experience an incredible 30 minute scenic helicopter flight over the Bungles! This will be a highlight of your Kimberley adventure!
After a day of exploring, relax in your cabin or by the pool at Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge, and take in a beautiful East Kimberley sunset. Dinner is served at the Lodge at approx. 6:30pm, and can be eaten either inside the lodge dining room, or under the stars in our alfresco dining area.
Overnight: Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge – Ensuite Cabin
** Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea & dinner included
Day 3 - Echidna Chasm & Northern End Tour
This morning enjoy a delicious breakfast before embarking on your Northern Tour of Purnululu National Park for a different view of the Bungles.
Today’s tour will take you through Echidna Chasm and the northern end of Purnululu National Park. This begins with a 45-60 minute scenic 4WD trek along the western side of the Bungle Bungle Range. Follow your local guide along a rocky path nestled between cliffs into Echidna Chasm. At points, this path can narrow to a width of less than 1.5 metres. On either side of you, towering walls of orange stone scattered with Livistona palm trees will reach skywards, seeming as though they are lit from within.
As this walk requires a significant amount of climbing over boulders and navigating ladders, we advise this tour is suitable only for those with full mobility. You will enjoy a tasty picnic lunch whilst enjoying more spectacular scenery of Purnululu National Park.
In the afternoon, return to Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge to relax after another day of amazing adventures.
Overnight: Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge – Private ensuite cabin
** Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea & dinner included
Day 4 - Emma Gorge
After Breakfast, depart Purnululu National Park on your scenic flight back to Kununurra. If you do not have your own vehicle, collect your 4WD Hire Car and travel to Emma Gorge located on El Questro Station. This 1 hour drive will have you at Emma Gorge around lunch time.
Check into your Safari style tented cabin, enjoy a relax by the pool or walk into the beautiful Emma Gorge itself.
Overnight: Emma Gorge Resort – Safari-style tented cabin

Take a dip in the refreshing pool surrounded by nature then enjoy a picnic lunch with beer or sparkling wine, all while revelling in one of El Questro’s most secluded attractions.
Overnight: Emma Gorge – Ensuite Tented Cabin

So you think you’ve experienced everything the Kimberley has to offer? Think again!
It's a local secret that the wet season is the best time to experience the East Kimberley. The landscape comes alive after tropical rains wash away the last of the dry and plunging waterfalls spring up out of nowhere.
Has travelling to the Kimberley been on your bucket list for a while but left you feeling a little overwhelmed? We don’t blame you - the Kimberley spans an area over 424,517km² or in other words, is three times the size of England! With so much space and so many things to do and see up here, it’s can be a little daunting to plan a trip without feeling like you’re missing out on something.
There is no shortage of amazing experiences and destinations in the Kimberley. The entire northwest of Australia is a feast for the senses and will leave you not only in awe, but never wanting to leave. What better way to witness this vast and remote part of the country than from the sky? We have put together a few of the most unique ways to experience the Kimberley by helicopter.
Covering nearly 423,000 square kilometres, this ancient region has fewer people per square kilometre than almost any other place on Earth. Despite its remoteness, there are several ways to reach the Kimberley depending on your time and budget. Kununurra and Broome are the two major gateway towns in the Kimberley, and both are must-visits for a true Kimberley experience.
