KIMBERLEY COAST & NT LUXURY HELICOPTER SAFARI

A 7 day, 7 night, unforgettable private helicopter safari exploring the stunning NT and Kimberley.

Day 1, Rise early today to enjoy the fresh Kimberley morning. Lift off from Kununurra, soar over the Ord River Irrigation Area past the huge farms of the Ord Irrigation area. Fly low across the border into the NT, past the Keep River National Park, landing a remote waterfall for morning tea, enjoy a swim and relax before arriving at Bullo River Station in time for lunch. Meet your Bullo River hosts who will help you choose your activities to enjoy during your stay.

Day 2, is a no-fly day and you get to explore and enjoy Bullo River Station.  Maybe a day filled with dust, sweat and the exhilaration of station life or spend the day exploring stunning landscapes, waterfalls, swimming in remote waterholes, barramundi fishing and discovering Aboriginal rock art and wildlife.

Day 3, We lift off after breakfast, today’s flight takes in the huge rivers and coastal properties of the top end. Crossing the Cambridge Gulf we pass over ancient traditional lands of the Balanggarra people. Flying onwards, the ranges rise ahead with the watercourses of the De Lan Court and Berkeley Rivers beneath us. Fly over King George Falls before visiting Kalumburu, an aboriginal community where the mission is still in place with an astonishing museum curated by the Benedictine monks who have spent their lives here. Land at Eagle Falls for a swim. Rounding the top of WA and flying past Steep Head Island we come into land on the shell beach at our destination for the next 2 nights, Kimberley Coastal Camp.

Day 4, is a no-fly day where you can choose your wilderness experience. Spend your day fishing for the fabled Barramundi and dozens of other tropical species in the pristine azure waters the area is famous for. Explore this ancient land on foot, or by boat and experience the local birds, wildlife, bush tucker, ancient rock art and bush medicines first hand. You may prefer to take it easy on the boat, cruising and picnicking on deserted islands fringed by Boab trees or sipping a cool drink from the day bed. The choices are yours.

Day 5, depart Kimberley Coastal Camp, visit Mitchell Falls where you will orbit and land at the top of the mighty 4-tiered falls, your pilot will guide you on a walk around this Australian natural icon. Continue flying over the stunning Kimberley coast, via Mt Trafalgar before heading inland over Drysdale River Station and parts of the Gibb River Road. View the glow of the afternoon sun as it lights up the red rocks of the Cockburn Range, before landing at El Questro Homestead.

Day 6, El Questro tours and activities form an integral part of every visit to this renowned wilderness destination and provide an opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the stunning natural attractions.

Day 7, depart El Questro after breakfast and fly to World Heritage listed Purnululu National Park for a privately guided walk through the striped sandstone domes and further into the Cathedral Gorge. Early afternoon fly north over the Argyle Diamond Mine where rare pink diamonds are formed and then discover Lake Argyle, the largest man made lake in the Southern Hemisphere. Complete your spectacular journey by flying over the Ord Valley and back to Kununurra.
