Itinerary Details
Day 1 - Arrive Broome
Arrive into Broome and make your way to your accommodation. The day is yours to explore the laidback town of Broome, or if you’d prefer soak up the sun and relax into your holiday. Don’t miss the iconic sunset at Cable Beach!
Day 2 - Broome & Surrounds
Experience the boundless beauty and colours of Broome on the Broome Panoramic Town Tour. Discover the epic history of Broome at Cable Beach where Lord Alistair McAlpine’s story is told as well as Broome’s pearling evolution and Catalina’s. Explore Gantheaume Point, dinosaur tracks, Entrance Point, Town Beach, Chinatown and the iconic, World-renowned Heritage site, the Japanese Cemetery.
In the afternoon, discover the history of pearling in Broome and be captivated by 150 years of history as you discover how Broome’s unique maritime and pearling heritage unfolded amongst the mangroves on the foreshore of Dampier Creek. You’ll also get to taste the subtle flavour of pearl meat from the Pinctada Maxima oyster, a true Broome delicacy, which is revered and sought after the world over.
Day 3 - Dampier Peninsula & Cape Leveque
Journey to the tip of the Dampier Peninsula to experience the remote coastal wilderness area of One Arm Point and local Aboriginal Communities with added sea safari at Cygnet Bay.
Just a few kilometres out of Broome we head north on Cape Leveque Road. Travelling over rugged terrain, on the unsealed sections of the road, heading further north to One Arm Point, also known as Ardyaloon, we visit this remote Indigenous community with amazing views of the Buccaneer Archipelago. Here, we enjoy a guided visit to the Trochus Shell hatchery and and Aquaculture Centre and get an insight into aquaculture and the strong connection the Bardi Jawi have to their country as saltwater people.
Next stop is Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm situated on the tip of the Dampier Peninsula. Enjoy a chef prepared lunch followed by a Pearl Farm Tour. As a family owned business, it is Australia’s oldest operating Pearl Farm. Following the tour, take the opportunity to also visit their showroom to see where some of the finest South Sea Pearls are grown and harvested.
For the inner adventurer, next is an exhilarating 2-hour sea safari on the Buccaneer Archipelago famed for enormous tidal rush, standing waves and intense whirlpools.
Day 4 - Day of Leisure
After a busy few days, enjoy a day at leisure to relax and unwind. Laze by the pool, explore Broome’s unique wonders including a sunset walk or camel ride along Cable Beach or relax at the sunset bar, with a cocktail in hand as you watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean.
Day 5 - Horizontal Falls
Experience the incredible Horizontal Falls and pristine beauty of the Kimberley coast on this exciting half-day tour.
Enjoy low level flying over the amazing islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago and Cape Leveque before your seaplane lands safely in the calm waters of Talbot Bay. Your tour continues with a thrilling boat ride through the Horizontal Waterfalls, plus a relaxed island cruise followed by the shark show and swim in our marine viewing enclosure.
